Mark, the Courageous Bigot Schools Me

I've been largely inactive lately, but I still receive e-mail's with comments and such from people who stumble across old DS posts which just get them so worked up that they can't help but post a comment on a year old post. Here's one from this article which got commented yesterday, along with my response:

DS wouldn't even leave his name.

How is the Gay community inflicting their personal and gay beliefs on our religious community? Just look out your window. No they haven't prohibited traditional marriage. But, even after losing a vote on same sex unions, a large group cry, they protest, they sue, they threaten. They are mean and nasty. They are no better than two-year olds who don't get their way. Same-sex marriage is not a "right" that has been taken away. Someday they may get their life style legitimized. Let's hope if they do, it's not through the terrorism tactics currently used by some.

Mark

*looks out window* Yes! My God! There are homosexuals everywhere accosting traditional marriage! I can see them from the crack in the blinds which I've opened just barely enough so that gay people don't otherwise notice I'm here and try to convert me to homosexuality! (I live in constant fear of this) How did I not see this before??

*rolls eyes* Oh, and yes, your bravery posting under "anonymous" but signing it "Mark" is shameful to me and bloggers everywhere who use pen names. Here, as a gesture of respect, in light of your courageous signage, let me say for all to hear, that my name is "James." *shivers* It feels good. It feels damn good. Thank you for breaking those walls down and calling me out over it.

As far as your bizarre, inane comments: I see you follow in the loving footsteps of Sen. .. what's his name... You know, that bigot who hates people who aren't like him.. Oh yeah, Buttars.

Name me a terrorism tactic that the gay community is using. Name one with a straight face and then relate it to any actual act of terrorism that any person with even the slightest shred of rationality might consider to be an act of terrorism. The reason why you and others are trying to justify your hatred and bigotry by equating gay activism with terrorism and destruction, is because there is really no good argument to try and deny homosexuals the same rights that you, as a heterosexual, closeted as you may be, enjoy.

If religious unions were outlawed by some majority, you would be screaming and crying and ranting and protesting your heart out, so spare me your condescension and accusations towards the gay community that they would respond poorly to a vote which is inherently demeaning and prejudicial.

DS

er..

James
